The hard drive issue on cactus is still being investigated. Technicians and administrators are working to get that server back up. However, our administrators have determined that the likelihood of the server coming back up is diminishing. Administrators have made the decision to start restoring accounts from backups on other servers, in an attempt to get accounts up and running as quickly as possible.
We are continuing to work on cactus and the hard drive issues. While the likelihood of cactus coming back up may be diminishing, that does not mean that there is no hope and that it won't come back up. Technicians are still working on cactus and will continue to work on cactus. The choice to begin restoring account backups was made so that we do not continue to lose time with null efficiency.
What exactly happened to cactus remains to be seen and frankly is not a priority at this time. The priority is to get data from the server, either from backups or from the cactus server itself, up and running as quickly as possible.

The cactus server is currently down as technicians investigate a hard drive issue on the server. This is an issue we are aware of, but currently do not have an ETA for when the server will be back online.
We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
